Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Green Jobs Board. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the platform.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and of legal working age to use Green Jobs Board, and able to form a binding contract. If you use the platform on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your account

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@greenjobsboard.us if you suspect unauthorized use.

The platform

Green Jobs Board is a platform that connects climate-focused job seekers with employers. We provide the tools to publish roles, build profiles, and submit and manage applications. We are not a party to any employment relationship, we do not employ job seekers, and we do not make hiring decisions.

Job seekers

• Provide accurate, truthful information in your profile and applications.
• Only apply to roles you’re genuinely interested in, and only submit content you have the right to share.
• You decide what to share with employers; some application fields (such as voluntary self-identification) are optional.

Employers

• Post only genuine, accurate roles for which you are hiring.
• Comply with all applicable employment, anti-discrimination, and data-protection laws. You are solely responsible for your hiring decisions and your handling of applicant information.
• Don’t use applicant information for any purpose other than evaluating candidates for your roles, and don’t use voluntary self-identification information to make hiring decisions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful content.
• Post fake roles, “ghost” jobs, or pay-to-apply schemes.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform except as expressly permitted, or attempt to disrupt or breach its security.
• Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Upload malware or use the platform to send spam.

Payments and billing

Some features — such as job listings, subscriptions, and add-ons like boosted listings or listing-deadline extensions — are paid. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, fees are non-refundable, and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You’re responsible for applicable taxes. We may change pricing prospectively with notice.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant Green Jobs Board a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the platform — for example, showing a job posting publicly or sharing an application with the relevant employer. You’re responsible for having the rights to the content you submit.

Our intellectual property

The platform, including its software, design, and the Green Jobs Board and Canopy brands, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any right to use our branding without permission.

Third-party services

The platform integrates third-party services (such as Google sign-in and Stripe payments) and may link to third-party sites. We’re not responsible for those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee that you’ll find a job, fill a role, or receive any particular outcome, and we don’t guarantee that job postings or applicant information are accurate or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated here.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Green Jobs Board will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Green Jobs Board harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the platform and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
